A GICLEE PRINT
The word "Giclee" (pronounced ghee-clay, as in "gee") typically refers to a limited edition, digital reproduction of two-dimensional artwork on high quality paper or canvas with fine art inks. A Giclee should have a predictable lifespan which is of an "archival" nature.

The printing process begins with the original piece of artwork, which is captured through a highly sophisticated digital imaging process and then taken through an in-depth digital process. Because no screens are used, the prints havea higher apparent resolution than lithographs. The dynamic color range is like that of a serigraphy. The artist's color approval and input are essential for creating the final custom setting for hte edition. Giclee prints should be treated like any other piece of fine art, they should be protected from excessive light, moisture and heat.

Signed and numbered limited edition giclee prints are available of most of my art.
The art can be reproduced on either the acid free water resistant canvas or on acid free fine art paper,(Textured Fine Art Paper or Velvet Fine Art Paper). The prints are made with the Epson Ultracrome inks. A certificate of Authenticity is issued with each print to verify that the print has been personally inspected, signed and numbered as part of a specific limited edition.

HAND-EMBELLISHMENT
I like to hand-embellish the prints on canvas with oil and the prints on paper with pastels to give them more authenticity and a look that is closer to the original. This is not always done, but most often I do, or can, if you so choose.

PRINT SIZES, MATTING & FRAMING
Prints can be made most any size or dimension up to 17" wide. If done on paper then once they are matted and framed the outer dimensions of your piece would be larger. Canvas prints would either be dry-mounted or stretched.  I would be happy to work with you to find the best style framing, (and/or matting if the prints calls for matting), to match both the art and your decor.
