**TESTIMONIALS**
I discovered Tarryl and her extraordinary oil paintings about ten years ago. I became hooked and am the proud owner of seven to date! Tarryl very much represents the classic Frederic Church, Hudson Valley Plein Air style of painting. I purchase her works because I am drawn into them and feel an emotional connection that is soothing and ongoing. Her ability to capture and paint light in her paintings is equally as intriguing. In addition, Tarryl is a charismatic, kind, funny, and a person that I felt instantly comfortable with. I had the pleasure of meeting her once, when I picked up a commissioned work she did. In this regard, she did an excellent job of creating a painting that depicted what I wanted to convey. She listened and we had good discussions about the painting which resulted in an exceptional piece that my best friend Pam loved! Thank you Tarryl, and I look forward to adding to my collection of your paintings over the coming years!

Tarryl Gabel is the Hudson Valley’s preeminent artist! My husband and I have several pieces of Tarryl’s work. We purchased our first piece many years ago at the Barrett Art Center in Poughkeepsie. We have purchased additional pieces over the years and have commissioned four pieces from Tarryl which surpassed our expectations! Tarryl’s work brings joy, beauty, and warmth to our home!

We initially found Tarryl Gabel on the internet and saw she was attending a plein air exhibition and juried art show in Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. We had the good fortunate to be able to attend this show to meet Tarryl. It became immediately apparent that she translated her passion for excellence into every brushstroke. Her artistry not only spoke to us, but transported us into the scene...into the moment. One could smell the pines, hear the rustle of leaves, the gentle bubbling in the brook, the majesty of the mountains. Although we are aware that our walls cannot accommodate one more example of her fine art, somehow we make room for just one more.

I have loved Tarryl’s art for more than a decade now. I first came to know Tarryl’s work through her beautiful landscape paintings, and was proud to showcase them in my retail store. Last year, my beloved German Shepherd and constant companion of thirteen years passed away. In my deep grief it occurred to me that the best way I could immortalize my precious fur-baby was through Tarryl’s special brand of magic—her art. I therefore commissioned Tarryl to paint my Zeus. The likeness to him is uncanny! She really captured his essence, as can be seen in the expression in his beautiful cognac eyes. What Tarryl created for me was so healing; it was the medicine I desperately needed to get me through an incredibly painful time. I look at my painting every day and I am immediately filled with all the love and loyalty I was blessed to have known with my special friend. I remain ever-grateful to Tarryl for this.

My best friend and I were having dinner in Rhinebeck a few years ago and several of Tarryl's paintings were on the wall for sale. That was it! We fell in love with them. We each bought a painting that night and have continued to buy more of her paintings over the years. One of my cherished possessions is a landscape that my dear friend commissioned for me of the grounds at Olana - our favorite place to visit. It is a wonderful reminder of our close friendship and the good times we have had. Tarryl's artwork is stunning - it really speaks for itself; but in addition, she is such a pleasure to work with. We are so happy to have found her!
